This tests the air tightness of the ductwork. We use a duct blaster to verify the rate of leakage within the duct system is within code mandated standards. Ducts are pressure tested in order to assess and identify any potential air leakage issues that may be present within the system. This testing procedure is crucial for ensuring the overall efficiency and performance of the ductwork, helping to maintain optimal air quality and energy efficiency within the space. Two types of tests may be performed:

1. A Rough-in test encompasses evaluating the entire system, which involves examining the manufacturer's air handler enclosure if it has been installed before the test.

2. A post-construction test is conducted throughout the entire system, which encompasses various components such as the manufacturer's air handler enclosure.
